Rowley Drysdale, Glenn Morgan and Barry Tate have collaborated on a number of art projects including the construction and firing of Tate's notable Warnambool anagama kiln at Woodford. Morgan is a nationally renowned painter noted for his warts-and-all honest portrayals of domestic and personal narratives. Tate's paintings feature alternate use of material including fibre-optic charged lamps in what becomes a unique combination of quasi-religious iconography and casino aesthetic. Rowley Drysdale is highly regarded in the Australian and Asian ceramic art scene. This year he has exhibited in South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore and Melbourne. He is especially noted for his wood fired vessels, firebox ‘paintings' and mixed media assemblages. The three artists were keen to paint a big roo and reinforce their collaborative ethos for such an inspiring cause.
