This 2005 MG F Convertible car bonnet is a unique piece of art created for Bangers and Cash, the UK’s first art roadshow banger rally from Sheffield to Monte Carlo which took place on 21st – 25th September 2018 and was driven by sponsor Henry Boot Construction.

This stylish car was seen driving up and down the St Gotthard’s Pass exploring different routes and enjoying the scenery but some think they really got a bit lost finding the checkpoints….Taxi!

Rob Lee is a graphic artist with a passion for colour, shape, geometric precision and optical illusion. He spends most of his time working on large scale exterior or interior commissions, which he loves because each one is different with a new set of challenges for how to apply his unique style. Inspired by both the technology and nature, his work questions what this world would look like if we lived in perfect harmony with the planet.

Having always been interested in cars thanks to his Dad and older brothers, particularly with classic American muscle cars, Rob wanted to create something that was reminiscent yet completely different to the type of artwork you would find on these vehicles. The giant bird of prey on the bonnet of a Pontiac Trans-am inspired the initial make up of the shapes within his signature optical art style..
