This 1999 Jaguar S-Type car bonnet is a unique piece of art created for Bangers and Cash, the UK’s first art roadshow banger rally from Sheffield to Monte Carlo which took place on 21st – 25th September 2018 and was driven by the team from sponsor Whitehornes Estate Agents.

This team made light work of the rally as Ian had driven day 3’s route from Lucerne to Milan only last year. Looking forward to seeing the scenery again, their Jag took them the scenic route and their numerous selfies at the rally checkpoints prove they had lots of fun doing so!

Steve Goodison is an artist born & bread in Sheffield, his work is created predominently in pencil. Much of Steve's work is inspired by local music and local artists.

Steve's inspiration came from the Pulp song 'Common People', a band known for coming from Sheffield. Within the French translated text, he has pencil drawn Jarvis Cocker’s iconographic portrait. While the car bonnet artwork is produced in vinyl, this auction lot also includes the original framed hand drawn artwork.

All our bonnets are in great condition, but some may bear minor stone chips and imperfections in the paintwork from the journey, but this highlights the authenticity of the piece and adds to the story and character of the bonnet.
