This 2004 London Taxi car bonnet is a unique piece of art created for Bangers and Cash, the UK’s first art roadshow banger rally from Sheffield to Monte Carlo which took place on 21st – 25th September 2018 and was driven by sponsors Team Drinkscabinnit.

The practical jokers of the rally, Nick Banks – formerly of Pulp and now the Everly Pregnant Brothers, Richard Bailey of the Everly Pregnant Brothers and James Coupe of the Big Shambles – they travelled in comfort and style with velvet curtains, a disco ball and beer (almost) on tap. Aided by the taxi intercom, there was plenty of banter on route but what happens on tour stays on tour…. Rock n roll baby!

Sheffield-based artist Rikki produces punk style graffiti artwork for leather jackets, murals and canvas artworks on the underground scene.

A play on words - a local Sheffield taxi cab converted into a drinks cabinet on wheels. With the distinctive Sheffield hills in the background and a graffiti wall of famous Sheffield musicians, 'Drinks Cab Innit' takes Sheffield punk art on the road with true Sheffield spirit.

All our bonnets are in great condition, but some may bear minor stone chips and imperfections in the paintwork from the journey, but this highlights the authenticity of the piece and adds to the story and character of the bonnet.
